Cost Of War
Who pays it? Everyone who pays taxes in or purchases anything in the United States or any nation which buys anything from it.
Where does it go? In the pockets of everyone anywhere who accepts money from, banks with, or does business in any way with any firm which holds stock in Haliburton, General Dynamics, (...and the long list goes on...), or any entity which does business with or benefits from the military establishment of the United States.
Who keeps it going? Everyone everywhere who benefits from the fruits of the empire rather than doing their damndest to terminate it by toppling the nation that spawns it and opposing its people who allow it either out of desire, fear, or ignorance whether wilful or otherwise.

and to think we could have stoped world hunger by now with the spending on so call protecting our freedom makes ya think huh
