Chicano History

Here in the land of the scar left by America's theft, on both sides of the wound many of us are involved in both cultures which forms one of its own. In this border zone and what it has become, it is often called the land of Atztlan. Chicano is what many of the people call themselves. Mexican, with the heritage of centuries behind them, no matter what side of that false line.

They call our ancestors "bloodthirsty" while they themselves were burning their own women alive over suspected "witchcraft" at Plymouth Rock, and lynching black and brown people well into the 1960's".

What we got was their White Male-God to kneel down to and worship. What we got were a few token success stories to make us think we have "made it."

"The Spaniard may have won the political/economic war, but genetically, the "Indian" won over the Spaniard. Genetically, we are much more of the "Indian" than Spaniard. Only 300,000 Spaniards came to Mexico, and they were mainly men. There were 24,000,000 (million) Indigenous people in Mexico. That's a 98.5 to 1.5 percent racial differential".
Being a mix blood as i am i am american but better than that im human and im sorry im tired of 1/2 of my blood being forgotten and the other half be a dog.I give up im AMERICAN AND ILL DIE AMERICAN i was not born in spain i was not born in mexico nor anyother place but america so im american and now im a tired over it want to lay down and die american because no mater what i say no mater what i do ill allways be hated by someone for being american .
