Comments On Poll #4
when the leadership fails the people or lies in mass media and controls all the new,s to a brainwashing degree how can you wake up millions who where put to sleep years ago by being tv brainwashed to comply to fear????
This poll is the opposite of the two choice poll on who would win the war between Israel and the Hezbollah. the earlier poll needed a third "none" choice and the present poll has no simple answer, even if we knew what country the question was about. Is the population responsible for a coup, whether from without or, in the case of USA, from within. I realize the US example is only a coup to those citizens who finally, suddenly awaken to it because it has been going on for a long time, very gradually, and much more noticably to the rest of the world who weren't lulled by vested interest and the fact that they were elected, smiling malevolence and all.
In a nation like America the responsibility should be with the leader the population have elected to take care of it. But under the present circumstances it appears their government has been taken over and running contrary to the will of many. In this case the population becomes responsible to get their governments actions back under control.
I believe it is unquestionably the "population" which must bear the responsibility. When they abrogate it, willingly or through coercion, bad things always happen.I could go on and on as to whose fault it is that the "people" have lost their political agency in the present but suffice it to say it is the nature of capitalism to subvert democray.
There is an interesting dynamic to all our post responses that seems driven, as unfortunately is so much in this world, by USA thought or lack thereof. Our regular users, which are spread around the world, cast choices soon after a vote appears, and results diverge from what might be expected from most in the US. Then, after they have selected and can no more, there is an increase in proportion of those not frequently here. About a third of the Forum hits are from the US, and the graphs slide toward CNN outlook. Guess if nothing else, it shows propaganda's dumb down effect.
So, I am wondering on this two choice poll, what would determine the "dumbing down" of the results? Divergence from personal opinion? If there pre-exists a right answer, the opposite of which is wrong or dumb, the poll is not to sample world opinions but to test for political correctness. One must watch CNN much more than I do to know how they would answer. In this particular poll, I could see the answer being swayed more by the recent political history of the respondents own country. Or did you mean responsibility of only US citizens or its govenment gone rogue?
